Amid cold temperatures, the community gathered to remember two historical figures in Vietnam’s history. Hai Bà Trưng (Trưng Sisters) are Trưng Trắc and Trưng Nhị who were leaders 40-43AD. They are widely revered as leaders who rose up to fight for independence against the Chinese. The program included a reading of their history, poem, and traditional ceremony offering food and drink. The ceremony was performed by the women of the Vietnamese Cultral Center.
